    Description

    The Hempel's Galvosil 15780 is a two-component, medium zinc content, solvent-based, self-curing inorganic zinc silicate coating. It can be applied using airless spray construction. The Elder brand zinc metal pigment 97170 fully complies with ISO 3549 and ASTM D520 Type II.

     

    Recommended Uses

    As a general-purpose anti-corrosive primer, it provides long-lasting protection for steel used in moderate to severe corrosive environments. It meets the requirements of SSPC-Paint 20 type I, level 2.

     

    Application Temperature:

    - Without topcoat: maximum, dry, atmospheric exposure: 540°C [1004°F].

    - Wet use temperature: please refer to the chemical protection guidelines on hempel.com.
