Description
The Hempel's Galvosil 15700 is a solvent-based, self-curing inorganic zinc-rich paint. This product has excellent weather resistance and wear resistance. Within a pH range of 6-9, it exhibits outstanding chemical resistance. It can provide cathodic protection for locally damaged areas.
This product meets the requirements of SSPC paint 20 Class 1 Grade 1 and the relevant sections of ISO 12944-5, 2018, fully complying with the requirements of ISO 3549 and ASTM D520 Type II.

Recommended Uses
Used as a general anti-corrosion and anti-rust primer for new shipbuilding and ship repair, suitable for steel structures and pipelines. It can be used in various atmospheric corrosion environments (up to extreme corrosion environments, such as coastal areas).
As a standalone, complete long-lasting protective paint, applied to steel surfaces exposed to moderate to severe corrosion environments and prone to wear.
Used for tank linings according to the "Chemical Protection Guidelines."

Usage Temperature:
- Without topcoat: Maximum, dry, atmospheric exposure: 450°C [842°F].
- With suitable topcoat: Maximum, dry, atmospheric exposure: 540°C [1004°F], peak: 600°C [1112°F].
- Wet usage temperature: Please refer to the Chemical Protection Guidelines on hempel.com.
