    The Hempadur Zinc 17340 is a two-component zinc-rich epoxy paint. It can cure to form a tough and corrosion-resistant film. It complies with the EU Directive 2004/42/EC "on the limitation of volatile organic compounds in paints: Subcategory j."

     

    Recommended Uses

    As a "VOC compliant" product, it is used for steel surfaces in moderately to severely corrosive environments. It can also be used on steel surfaces coated with zinc-containing primer. Before coating, damaged areas of the steel surface, welds, etc., must be cleaned with power tools. It is used for on-site construction of containers. The zinc content of this product complies with the requirements of SSPC-Paint 20, type 2, level 3.

     

    Usage Temperature:

    - Under dry conditions: Maximum usage temperature: 160°C [320°F].
